Upgrade Authentication

The main functions are free for all to use. (Be sure to bookmark C-Tools, the fastest way to find owners or add content). Optionally, you may choose to be "authenticated" for a $25 annual fee. Authenticated users are verified by the name that appears on your credit card matching your registration, and by further confirmation via a trade association membership or online presence with your name. One advantage to being authenticated is the ability to lock your records, which prevents anyone from modifying your claim of copyright for that content in the C-Registry.us database. You also gain bulk functions.

The Copyright Registry has relationships with the most prestigious trade associations that are proponents of copyright. If you are a member of one of these associations, you can be upgraded for free ... no charge. In registration, we ask for your association name. If it is already aligned with us, your authentication upgrade is free. If not, before paying to upgrade your status, check with your creative trade association to see if they will be adding this member benefit soon. Your association must be aligned with The Copyright Registry prior to your authenication to receive this discount.

After checking with your association to see if they support copyright via The Copyright Registry, and if they are not participating, you can proceed with the $25 annual fee, which is handled by PayPal. Because this is a setup fee, there is no refund available once paid. Again, this optional $25 annual fee enables you to lock your records in the C-Registry.us database and gain bulk functions.

Finally, we note that The Copyright Registry does not store any credit card information and does not share your private information with others unless consented by you.
