Reports can be created by selecting the “Create Certified Report” navigation link from the menu on the right side of the content details page. There is a nominal fee for each verifiable report ($30 per report). For this small fee, The Copyright Registry generates and tracks the following reports:

- Rightsholder On File Report – Confirms the identity of the claimed copyright holder of that content in the C-Registry.us database or that the creative work is an “A Work Of Unknown Origin” in the C-Registry.us database.
- URL’s of Use Report – Specifies the date range of publication and the URLs of use of the content file, including the URL of the page of use and the URL where the file is stored.
- Ownership Dispute Report – Details the disagreement between a claimed owner and the rightsholder on record in the C-Registry.us database, and the ultimate arbitrated decision by C-Registry.
- Take Down Order – Instructs the Internet Service Provider of the infringing website to remove the content to which the claimant warrants they own the copyright.

Because The Copyright Registry™ issues reports that can be used for legal purposes, it’s important that we can ensure the validity of the information in those reports. The Copyright Registry™ has a unique identification process that can verify whether or not a report has been altered since it was originally generated.
