How to reclaim your work in C-Registry

Copies of your creative works are online without your credit. To enable users to find you from unknown copies of your work, claim it as follows:

Enter the URL of a web page that contains your creative work in the toolbar above and click the action icon (or click your C-Tools browser bookmark).
The Copyright Registry then extracts URLs to content on that web page and displays it in a list.
Click the content thumbnail you want to reclaim.
In the window that appears, click “Claim Creator Authorship/Copyright Ownership” from the menu on the right side and your default contact information will be associated with all copies of this content file.
Add more information for this specific content if you like:
- Your E-commerce link for automated online licensing
- Your registration number from the U.S. Copyright Office (if available)
- Title of work
- Multiple rightsholders and media types for “mashups.”

Tagging Copyright Notice

For images, the Veripixel™ Copyright Notice (tagging) enables you to include a unique copyright identifier in your image. (Removal of the Veripixel Copyright Notice by users could be a violation of your copyright. That is good reason to add this unobtrusive mark to your work.)

Login and follow the instructions above to reach the detail screen for your image.
From the menu on the right side, select “Tag This Image”. The original image will open in a new window with tiny colored pixels in the upper left corner of the image, which is a copyright notice and unique identifier.
Download this new, marked image to your hard drive for your use elsewhere. For example, you can go to the website that has your original image and replace it with this version that is tagged with a copyright notice.
